James, Miles and Page Each Earn Hornung Award Weekly Honor Roll For Second Time
Louisville, Ky. (Monday, September 26, 2011) – Two Watch List selections, and a star running back from Oregon pressed into filling multiple roles, have been named to the Paul Hornung Award Weekly Honor Roll for the second time. The weekly recognition honors versatile, single-game performances around the nation by FBS student-athletes.
The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is awarded annually to the most versatile player in major college football.
Oregon’s LaMichael James, who has seen his number of touches increase as teammates return from various absences, makes the honor roll after posting 363 all-purpose yards in the Duck’s win over Arizona. Fellow Pac-12 star Jamal Miles was a key player touching the ball four different ways on offense and special teams in his Sun Devil’s hard fought 43-22 win over USC. Toledo’s Eric Page was named to the Honor Roll following a superb effort in the Rockets’ heart stopping overtime loss to Syracuse.
The same trio also was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll following outstanding performances in Week Two.
Week Four Selections to the Paul Hornung Award Weekly Honor Roll
• Oregon’s LaMichael James had 23 carries for 288 yards and two touchdowns, two receptions for 15 yards and three punt returns for 60 yards in a 56-31 win over Arizona on Sept. 24. He finished with 363 all-purpose yards.
• Arizona State's Jamal Miles had one rush for one yard, a career high nine receptions for 55 yards, a receiving touchdown, a punt return for 6 yards, and three kickoff returns for 73 yards in the 43-22 win over USC on Sept. 24. He finished with 135 all-purpose yards. He caught a pass for a two-point conversion.
• Toledo’s Eric Page had 13 receptions for 158 yards, one punt return for seven yards, five kick returns for 154 yards in a 33-30 overtime loss to Syracuse on Sept. 24. He finished with 279 all-purpose yards.

Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse
Created by the Louisville Sports Commission in 2010, the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football. The Award is designed to promote college football and help preserve the legacy of one of Kentucky's best-known and accomplished athletes who has always called Louisville home. Hornung, the 1956 Heisman Trophy winner at Notre Dame and NFL MVP for the Green Bay Packers, set a single season NFL scoring record that stood 46 years. Paul is a member of the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame, and Vince Lombardi once called Hornung, “The most versatile man ever to play the game.” A national selection committee comprised of 16 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award, and this year fan voting on Facebook powered by Texas Roadhouse will comprise the 17th vote. All votes are tabulated independently by regional accounting firm Dean Dorton Allen Ford. The winner is honored at a banquet presented by Jewish Hospital Sports Medicine in late January each year in downtown Louisville.
